Short - CL Short Stop

Here is Shorty with his new parents, Josh and Amy.  Shorty will be residing in the big city, San Francisco, where he will be enjoying all the attention as the only dog.

Besse

Best Buy 02/11/2012
Besse - Best Buy

Susan and her daughter Ann came to see the greyhounds at one of the Sacramento M&Gs in January. They spent a lot of time visiting the hounds and asking all the right questions. We immediately knew that Besse would be a perfect fit for Susan, and one month later, Besse now has a forever home of her own. She also gained a “cousin” – Ann’s Shiba Inu who comes to Susan for doggy day care.

CiCi

Turbo CiCi 02/01/2012
CiCi - Turbo CiCi

Tina is taking Belle (formerly known as Turbo Cici) home to Ukiah where she will have lots of new companions: Tina's daughter, a standard poodle, a rat terrier, and a cat.

Cass

Rams Razzamacass 01/17/2012
Cass - Rams Razzamacass

Cass has been in wine country since early December and it didn't take long for her to break hearts. Her first foster mom loves her, but her second foster mom, Megan, fell in love with her AND decided to adopt her! Cass now has a permanent home right here in Santa Rosa, with cushy beds, a poodle sister named Lizzie, a kitty sister, Roxy, and an occasional day spent winemaking with Megan at work.

Hatcher

Turbo Walter 12/31/2011
Hatcher - Turbo Walter

The Nelson family of Ukiah have considered adopting a greyhound for a long time. Timing was perfect for Walter who is now called Hatcher. He packed his bags and moved home to Ukiah where he will share his beds with two whippets. What a great way to ring in the New Year!

Cosmo

Flat Out Cosmo 12/30/2011
Cosmo - Flat Out Cosmo

Marion and Frank of Lower Lake took a while to make sure they were ready for a greyhound. They must have been waiting for Cosmo. It seems like a perfect fit for everyone! Cosmo will be very happy to have his very own people who will be at home with him a lot and Eli the dog-brother and the large yard to romp in are both icing.

Sophia

Fawn 12/22/2011
Sophia - Fawn

Far away in Korea, Fawn needed to be rescued. In Santa Rosa, the Haas family wanted to help a dog. It took WCGA a short time to find the right greyhound to fit into their family. Everyone is now united just in time for the holidays. (Special thanks to Born To Run Global Sighthound Rescue for locating Fawn and for arranging for her transport to the United States.)

Addison

MB Addison 12/03/2011
Addison - MB Addison

Gentle Addison has found her forever home in Sacramento, with Stacey and her
15 and 17 year old sons. Jackson has been wanting a greyhound for over a
year, since he first went to a Meet and Greet! Addie, as she will often be
called, is settling in nicely with such a loving family that is patient with
her initial shyness.

Rocko

Yom Kippur 11/16/2011
Rocko - Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur is now “Rocko” and is beginning his days of retirement living with his new, little greyhound sister “Arizona.” Arizona was doing fine as an only dog, but Clinton decided he would like to add a big, male to the family to keep her company. Rocko was waiting patiently for some time to get sprung from his kennel life in Tuscon, so it’s no surprise this energetic, clumsy, fun loving giant is a bit of a handful compared to Clinton’s dainty, demure and very girlie, Arizona. Clinton and Hannah are great owners and are up for the challenge of helping Rocko acclimate from life on the track to life on his own, new dog bed.

Alli

Flat Out Allegra 11/16/2011
Alli - Flat Out Allegra

Flat Out Allegra is now “Alli” and she is starting her new life living in Napa with her adoptive family. Upon arrival, she was greeted by her new rat terrier brother, Bacchus and he’s been showing her the ropes and how to be a pet. She even navigated the stairs the first night in her new home! Kim and Dan are familiar with that “potato chip feeling” of…Can’t have just one! For now, it is clear that Alli is going to be getting a lot of well-deserved love and affection.
